Carl Crawford
We’re finally above .500 and things are starting to click. Ellsbury is becoming the lead-off hitter we always knew he could be. Youk is finding his stroke again. Big Papi is enjoying a resurgence. And A-Gon is already a fan fave. But what about Carl Crawford?
In my humble opinion, he needs to tweak his stance at the plate. I mean, his front foot is practically pointing to first base, and he practically holds the bat over his head. Perhaps if he made some small adjustments he could get back to the hitter we feared when he was a Ray. Please remember, another Sox left fielder named Carl constantly made adjustments and came out with a new stance every year. That would be the last player to win the Triple Crown, a man by the name of Carl Yastrzemski.
